Trainer Preservation

Every now and then a product comes along that becomes a staple in the gentleman's style arsenal, and so it is for the sneaker heads. Style connoisseurs the world over are constantly striving to preserve their "sexy," and part of this is keeping your trainers box fresh. Jason Markk's Premium Sneaker Solution Set is just what the style doctor ordered.

The LA based designer has worked the last four years to create his brew that keeps trainers so fresh and so clean. The solution is sold at select retailers, or via the web at www.jasonmarkk.com.

Feet First: Ascics Convertible Boat Shoe

Asics Tiger is going all in 'feet first' with the Carrack. The shoe is Tiger's take on the blazing hot boat shoe. The shoe features a full leather upper, anchored by a boat style lacing system. Get this... for the conservatives who want to teeter on the button, this puppy is convertible. Just undo the laces and remove the lacing panel. You can cop 'em at David Z. See more after the jump.

Can I kick it?

The old saying 'give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, but teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime' has a profound relevance in today's rapidly changing economic landscape. That saying was my catalyst for designing the slipper above. Besides, fishing is one of the loves of my life, and these will allow me to keep it close to me when I'm prowling.

The Stubbs and Wooten bespoke program allows you to customize your footwear. Clients can select from an array of motifs and monograms that can be embroidered on lush velvet or crisp linen for a personal take on the classic slippers.

Now, for the haters, folks who owe me some bread, wayward chickens, etc... you know who you are; if you observe me out on the town and I'm wearing the slippers below... please take it personal because after all, life is good, but living is better!

Now, close your mouth and keep it moving!

Blues for the Sneaker Seekers...

'when spring is in the air, I often get the blues
but deez blues is different, cause it's really 'bout the shoes
see 'ery since i was a 'shorty, i just loved me some blues
cyan, navy and azure... that's that cool ass blue that soothes...
you can color me bad and i'll be good, but I still see blues...
all day, every day... it's all about the shoes.'

I love to get dressed, but every now and again I feel compelled to dial it back to a care-free swag. More often than not I anchor this laid back style with a trainer, and that's when I become a 'sneaker-seeker.' Last night while on my proverbial quest I came across these...

Y-3's Honja Hi trainer isn't for the average joe... I mean, there not blue suede or anything, but you'll probably feel like your on some Elvis 'ish' if you lace these up! The textured navy leather whispers, 'that cat right there is on another level', but the white midsole brings it back down to earth so that the mere mortals can witness...

The Honja is part of the on going collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas known as Y-3. This union debuted in 2003, and features sportswear for men and women in addition to some of the illest trainers on the planet.
